US President Donald Trump’s choice of attire at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday drew online attention as he made a rare personal appearance to welcome Xi Jinping. Trump was on the tarmac to greet Xi on Wednesday evening as the Chinese president arrived in Washington for his first US state visit in more than a decade. But while temperatures at the airbase were around 19 degrees Celsius (66 degrees Fahrenheit), Trump was the only one wearing a dark overcoat and gloves as he and first lady Melania.
