Asian Games 2026: India clinch kabaddi double gold, add medals in athletics, shooting

India enjoyed a strong medal run at the Asian Games, with both the men’s and women’s kabaddi teams defeating Iran to win gold. Sawan Barwal claimed marathon silver with a national record, while India also added medals in shooting, athletics, shot put and squash. In badminton, P.V. Sindhu and Ayush Shetty advanced to the singles pre-quarterfinals, while Lakshya Sen exited in the second round.
